Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy (BGTI) employed Mr. Baumhor at our 51st Annual San Francisco Committee Fashion Show and Luncheon on December 4 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel after a committee member suggested his services. He performed the role of Master of Ceremonies and conducted the first live auction in the 51-year history of our event. Mr. Baumhor's professionalism and knowledge was extremely helpful during the planning stages of the live auction. He was able to guide us in the pricing of the different items and walk us through the process step by step. He was clear in what he needed from us and was a team player. At the event, Mr. Baumhor's energetic personality created excitement and engaged the room of over 500 men and women. He demonstrated enthusiasm for our cause of empowering war refugee, migrant and at-risk youth, which became contagious to those around him. He was funny and worked the crowd with aplomb. Mr. Baumhor's skill as an auctioneer was readily apparent as we began the live auction. He encouraged participation amongst the bidders and he had clear control of the room and the bidding process. He was methodical in his approach and was keenly aware of the action in the room, which promoted involvement from every corner. His performance motivated the audience and his sense of urgency created bidding wars. Mr. Baumhor is an exceptional auctioneer and delivered outstanding results at our Fashion Show and Luncheon. In less than 10 minutes, he was able to raise over $20,000 for BGTI from three items, one of which he then organized the sponsor to double-up, making it four items. On February 7th, 2015 Brian Baumhor of Pacific Coast Auctioneer did

us the wonderful service of being auctioneer and MC for our fundraising event at Peninsula Temple

Sholom in Burlingame, California. The gala and auction was a fundraiser for both our preschool and

religious school. I was astonished at what a difference Brian made to our evening.

 

From our first contact with Brian he was prompt, professional and helpful. He took the time to exchange

several emails with me and then had a lengthy phone call so we could ensure that we were a good fit. I

hung up the phone from that call and said to my husband “well, I’m obviously going to hire him.” He

worked over the next 6 weeks with our fundraising committee to help create a seamless evening.

 

The night of our fundraiser Brian was amazing. He arrived early to ensure everything was set up and

everyone involved was prepared. He had great communication with me to help coordinate closing down

the silent auctions and provided us with expert advice when we started to panic that we weren’t making

enough money. Turns out he was right, we were doing fine!

 

Brian ran a Heads or Tails game, a live auction and a Fund A Need, all with tremendous success. He was

amazing at motivating the crowd to give, get involved and bid. There was excitement and laughter and it

was fantastic. Everyone loved him and thought he made a really wonderful addition to the night. From a

fundraising perspective, it should be noted that Brian made many suggestions to us that were helpful and

beneficial. One of those suggestions more than paid for his fee.

 

I would recommend Brian without hesitation to any organization looking for an auctioneer. When you

hire a professional, you get professional results.
